Voices For Life Newsletter – Winter 2023

A Note from RTLKC’s Executive Director

Happy New Year, I hope that you and yours had a wonderful holiday. It is hard to believe that 2023 is upon us. When I look back on all that 2022 brought, I am both amazed and saddened. Amazed that after almost 50 years, Roe v. Wade was overturned but saddened that Proposition 1 was passed, making abortion legal to the day of delivery in California.

But as I look forward to what 2023 can bring, I am excited. Excited that there will be so many opportunities for us to stand for life, to keep the conversation going, and to make a difference, one life at a time.

Right to Life of Kern County has hit the ground running and we will continue to do so with our Memorial Cross Display, Fish Fry Fundraising Dinner, the Spring – 40 Day for Life prayer campaign, our Advocacy Training, and the March for Life at the State Capital, all within just the first quarter of the new year!

There is so much to do to promote the respect for the sanctity of life from conception to natural death, and we need your help. I want to encourage you to check out our updated website (rtlkc.org), read our new weekly blog, and to attend one of the events we have coming up. Please join us in prayer as we stand for life in all it’s stages.

As C.S. Lewis said, “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” Together let’s look forward and make 2023 a year of positive change for life.
