Safely Surrendered Baby

Safely Surrendered Baby Law
California Department of Social Services, Safe Surrender

Don’t abandon your baby. You have another option.

You can safely surrender your newborn baby (up to three days old) into the hands of any fire station or emergency room staff in Kern County.

It’s safe, it’s legal, and no one needs to know.
No shame. No blame. No names.
