At the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center you’ll find the counseling and practical assistance you need –pregnancy tests and medical verifications, first trimester ultrasound, post-abortion and post-miscarriage peer counseling, abstinence education, maternity clothes, cribs, and diapers.
The Bakersfield Pregnancy Center has partnered with Kern County churches, community agencies, health care providers, and individuals to meet the needs of people facing pregnancy-related concerns for more than 20 years. The center has served more than 30,000 clients, with about 150 in-office clients per month.

Kern County Nurse-Family Partnership
Kern County Nurse-Family Partnership® (NFP) is a program to help new mothers with low-to-moderate incomes develop skills to take better care of themselves and their babies. A specially trained Public Health Nurse will visit you during your pregnancy and throughout the first two years of your child’s life.
Parinatal Outreach Program (POP)
A nurse and public health aides provide home visits, health education and outreach activities
to women whose pregnancies are not later than 36 weeks gestational age.
